Jodie was thirteen years old and decided she wasn’t going to school. Her Mum was at her wits end. She has tried to get Jodie interested in going to a highly sort after private school but Jodie has made up her mind- that wasn’t going to happen.
Jodie was being a miss know it all – can’t tell me what to do brat. She told her Mum “you know nothing”. She did what she wanted when she wanted and was wrecking havoc in the house.
Some of Jodie’s behaviour was starting to rub off onto her younger siblings. Jodie’s Mum was at the point of mental breakdown.
Now it would be easy to pick on Jodie (and with good cause) but you need to know some more facts first. Jodie’s parents were not living together and each parent had a differing set of rules. Actually her dad had no rules that resembled Jodie’s mother.
Is this situation completly Jodies fault?
What would you tell the Parents for advice?
